I feel the series took a huge turn with FFVIII, the graphics were a huge leap from the ones used in FVII. I loved this game too, though I know not many people enjoyed it.
Oh definitely. I will admit it's not a perfect game, but even with all of it's little imperfections, very enjoyable, and one of the most relateable casts in a game, in my opinion.
I have read one school of thought that Squall dies in the beginning and dreams the rest, because technically a lot of the plot is full of holes, and I rather like the idea of that being true, it would make the game 10 times more credible, in my opinion. I have also seen a critique done by the Spoony Experiment and he makes me laugh even though he despised the game. Then again I like to believe I handle things maturely... 8D
Yeah, I like that theory, too. It's not that I necessarily believe it, but it's definitely interesting, and it definitely helps to make the overall presentation of the plot have more sense. And then you have my inner 14 year old who loves it just the way it is, and believes that everything happened in that game for a reason, whether it made sense or not.
And I love Spoony. I know he's not kind to this game, but he's too funny to be mad at, and even the stuff he said genuinely amused me. I just don't get butthurt over fandom, I guess. Everyone has their own opinion.
